Local 1L Amalgamated Lithographers recently held a strong and productive shop meeting with the members at Sandy Alexander. The members of the shop came together to speak openly about the job, the challenges ahead, and the future we are building together. What stood out most was the level of unity in the room. Every member showed up with pride in their craft, respect for one another, and a clear understanding that our strength comes from standing together.
The discussion was honest, focused, and solution driven. Members shared concerns, reinforced the importance of communication, and demonstrated what a deeply united union shop looks like. By the end of the meeting, it was clear that this is a group committed not only to protecting standards on the job, but to lifting each other up and moving forward as one voice.
Local 1L believes that solidarity is more than just a word. It is action, participation, and the willingness to stand shoulder to shoulder with your fellow union members. The Sandy Alexander meeting was a reminder that when workers are united, there is nothing we cannot accomplish. United we stand, divided we fall.
We thank every member who took the time to attend, speak up, and show what true union solidarity looks like. Together we will continue to organize, grow, and protect the future of our craft.
