This past week, our union had the honor of attending the very first PPPWU Solidarity Conference in Atlanta. It was a powerful gathering that brought together locals from across the country to discuss the future of our movement and strengthen the bonds that keep us united.
A key focus of the conference was discussions with potential merger partners. These conversations are ongoing and are centered on building a stronger, more unified union that can better protect our members and expand our collective power. We will keep everyone updated as these talks progress.
We’re also proud to share that Maggie Peck and Pat Lopresti presented on the success of our TMRP Fund. Their presentation highlighted how the fund has become a real example of what we can achieve when we work together—supporting members, growing resources, and securing a stronger future for all of us. Their leadership and vision were recognized and applauded by union brothers and sisters from across the country.
The energy and solidarity at this conference made it clear: we are building something bigger than ourselves. Together, we’re not just standing up for today—we’re organizing for the future.
